Crescent Moon’s Tide

Description

These stone fragments

not unlike nuggets of gold

flicked carelessly from a prospector’s pan

cast onto the sandy grindstone

of the crescent moon’s tide.

Named Crescent Bay Beach was also known as Half Moon by the locals so I’ve heard.

Located on the picturesque Tasman Peninsula this place has a commanding view of Arthur’s Peak across the water.

This photo was taken smack in the middle of the beach where there is an unexpected rocky outcrop.
